Snow Day! (Ice, Actually)



Is it wrong to still be a little happy when the university closes down for the day?

Supposedly we've got a big ice storm moving into the DFW area, so classes are canceled. I don't see any ice yet, but the map shows a big front north of us.

    I am eagerly waiting the first actual Blizzard of '09. The two previous forecasted Blizzards of '09 left a lot to be desired.

    If this Blizzard of '09 should arrive, then I will be (1) pissed because I don't teach on Wednesdays this quarter and (2) be applying for TARP money because everybody should get a bailout.

    Today was a false alarm, but it finally started icing over this evening.

    Classes are canceled until noon on Wednesday, which means I won't teach in the morning, but still have a seminar in the afternoon.
